Employment Insurance Information

The TVDSB Human Resource Services Department indicates that all Records of Employment (for permanent and temporary employees) will be sent electronically to Service Canada by Payroll Services. Employees do not need a hard copy of their Record of Employment to apply for Employment Insurance. Click here for information about applying for Employment Insurance benefits.

• Compassionate Care 
  • Starting January 4, 2004, Compassionate Care Benefits will be available to EI-eligible people who need to be away from work temporarily to provide care or support to a family member who is seriously ill with a significant risk of death.
• Maternity, parental and sickness benefits
  • Also check your Bargaining Unit's collective agreement for additional information, if any, regarding maternity/parental/adoption leave.
