Elizabeth Akano wins the James Forster Human Rights Award
The James Forster Award for Human Rights shall be presented annually to a member of OSSTF/FEESO who has shown exemplary dedication in the struggle for equity and the promotion of human rights locally, provincially and/or internationally over a number of years.
Established by the Provincial Council of OSSTF/FEESO in April, 2001, the James Forster Award will be in the form of a permanent trophy which will record the name of the annual winner. The year 2001 is the inaugural year for this award. The recipient will receive a replica of the permanent trophy as a keepsake. The presentation of the award will occur at the annual meeting of provincial assembly. The contributions of the annual winner will be publicized in OSSTF/FEESO publications following the presentation at AMPA.
